Jay Sicklick

Jay Sicklick serves as Visiting Assistant Clinical Professor of Law and Director of the Health Equity Clinic at the University of Connecticut School of Law. He concurrently holds appointments as Assistant Clinical Professor in the Department of Pediatrics at UConn School of Medicine and faculty member at Yale School of Medicine's Program for Biomedical Ethics, while consulting for George Washington University's National Center for Medical-Legal Partnership.

His education includes a JD from Boston College Law School and BA from Colgate University.

Professor Sicklick specializes in Healthcare Law, Health Equity, and Medical-Legal Partnership systems, with expertise in Public Benefit Programs, Legal Ethics, and Disability Rights. He pioneered Connecticut's first adult-based medical-legal partnership to address health disparities among vulnerable populations through legal interventions integrated into healthcare delivery.

He founded the Center for Children's Advocacy's Medical-Legal Partnership with Connecticut Children's Medical Center in 2000, expanding it to Yale New Haven Hospital and Yale Child Study Center. His career spans teaching Lawyering Process and Social Welfare Law at UConn since 1995, civil litigation practice in Boston, and senior attorney roles at The Legal Aid Society focusing on housing and public benefits.
