Alice Rosenthal is an Adjunct Professor in General Pediatrics at the Yale School of Medicine and a Senior Staff Attorney with the Center for Children’s Advocacy. She coordinates the Medical-Legal Partnership Project (MLPP) at Yale New Haven Children’s Hospital, addressing legal barriers to health for vulnerable children, including housing instability, public benefits access, and education equity. Her work integrates legal advocacy with medical care to improve child well-being.
She holds a B.A. in Psychology and Social Welfare from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and a J.D. from Rutgers Law School-Newark. Previously, she practiced education law in New York with organizations like Advocates for Children of New York and the Center for Court Innovation. Her career has focused on social justice, particularly for marginalized youth.
The MLPP provides educational opportunities for Yale medical learners through experiential training in medical-legal collaboration. Her research emphasizes anti-poverty medicine and interdisciplinary approaches to child health disparities. Her work has been featured in publications like The T and F Online and ScienceDirect, focusing on systemic solutions to child poverty and healthcare access.
