معرفی
Jay Pahade, MD, is an Associate Professor of Radiology and Biomedical Imaging at Yale School of Medicine and serves as Vice Chair of Quality and Safety in the Department of Radiology & Biomedical Imaging. He is an abdominal radiologist with clinical and research expertise in hepatic and pancreatic tumors, radiologic contrast media safety for CT and MRI, and advancing patient-centered radiology practices. He is affiliated with Yale Cancer Center, Yale Medicine, and Yale New Haven Health System, where he collaborates across specialties including oncology, gastroenterology, surgery, and interventional radiology.
His research interests include diagnostic excellence, contrast media safety, peer learning in radiology, and improving clinical workflows through EMR-embedded care pathways. Dr. Pahade has led and co-authored numerous peer-reviewed studies published in high-impact journals such as Abdominal Radiology, American Journal of Roentgenology, and Journal of the American College of Radiology. His recent work focuses on reducing inappropriate contrast MRCP exams, managing contrast reactions, optimizing peer learning, and streamlining eGFR testing in emergency radiology.
He completed his medical degree at SUNY at Buffalo School of Medicine (2005) and advanced training at Harvard Medical School–Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center (2011). He is an active contributor to national radiology policy, including ACR statements on contrast use in children. His work emphasizes improving diagnostic accuracy, patient safety, and interdisciplinary collaboration.
