Jay Michael Rosenberger is a Professor in the Department of Industrial, Manufacturing, and Systems Engineering at The University of Texas at Arlington. He holds a PhD from Georgia Tech (2001), MS from UC Berkeley (1997), and BS in Mathematics from Harvey Mudd College (1996). His research focuses on operations research, transportation systems optimization, and stochastic modeling with applications in healthcare, energy, and infrastructure resilience.
Dr. Rosenberger has led over $9 million in federal/state grants, including NSF-funded projects on seismic resilience of water networks and EV charging systems. He has advised 25+ PhD students and holds 10+ awards including the FAA Challenge Finalist (2020) and IIE Pritsker Dissertation Award (2003). His work spans academic leadership roles including Secretary of INFORMS' Dallas-Fort Worth chapter and CoPI for the C-TEDD USDOT center.
Recent research emphasizes autonomous vehicle integration, EV adoption barriers, and smart transportation infrastructure. His 150+ publications span journals like Transportation Science, IEEE Transactions, and IISE Transactions. Collaborations include NASA, FAA, and utilities like Luminant.
