Jay Johnson is a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Engineering Technology and Industrial Distribution at Texas A&M University’s College of Engineering. He holds an M.B.A. in Finance (2001) and a B.S. in Industrial Distribution (1997), both from Texas A&M. His research focuses on distributor profitability, customer service, sales strategies, and sales management.
Dr. Johnson has received numerous awards, including the 2010 Physicians Center Guest Coach (student-nominated) and the 2009 Award of Distinction for dedication to Industrial Distribution students. He has also been honored with scholarships and fellowships throughout his academic and professional career.
His academic contributions are centered on industry-relevant education, with a strong emphasis on practical applications in sales and distribution sectors. He is affiliated with Texas A&M’s Engineering Technology and Industrial Distribution programs, contributing to both teaching and professional development initiatives.
