Jay Friedman is a Professor of Trombone and Principal Guest Conductor at Roosevelt University's Chicago College of Performing Arts. He has held prominent roles in major orchestras, including Principal Trombone of the Chicago Symphony Orchestra (1964–present) and Music Director of the Symphony of Oak Park & River Forest (1995–present). As a conductor, he has performed globally and received accolades such as the Illinois Council of Orchestras' Conductor of the Year (2002).
