Javier Osca Cotarelo

Dr. Javier Osca Cotarelo serves as a Lecturer in the Department of Physics at the University of the Balearic Islands (UIB), actively engaged in teaching core physics curricula and research through the Consolidated R+D+I Group "Physics of Nanosystems (FISNANO)".

His research concentrates on atomic-scale phenomena and nanosystem physics, with specific expertise in atomic/molecular interactions, biophysical applications, and electromagnetic theory. This focus directly informs his teaching across undergraduate and master's programs, where he delivers foundational courses including Atomic and Molecular Physics, Biophysics, Electromagnetism and Waves, and General Physics Laboratory for Physics, Engineering, and Construction degrees.

Dr. Osca Cotarelo maintains active involvement in the Physics of Nanosystems research group, contributing to UIB's nanotechnology research infrastructure while mentoring students through laboratory instruction and specialized coursework in nanostructures and applied physics.
