Javier Carrascosa González is a Full Professor of Private International Law at the University of Murcia's Faculty of Law. He holds a doctoral degree from the Universities of Granada and Bologna (Italy), with Summa Cum Laude and Premio Cesare Lelli honors. His academic career includes roles as director of the Master's in International Advocacy Practice and the Practical Legal English Course at the University of Murcia. He has been recognized with five Sextenios de Investigación and five Quinquenios de Docencia for scholarly contributions and teaching excellence.
His research focuses on Private International Law, European Union law, family law, and jurisdictional issues. Notable works include analyses of EU succession regulations, cross-border family disputes, and international contract law. He has contributed to legal publications such as Cuadernos de Derecho Transnacional and co-authored influential textbooks like KODEX Derecho Internacional Privado.
Carrascosa has advised Spain's Ministry of Justice on EU regulations like Rome III, and served as visiting professor at Universities of Cagliari and Rome III. His international engagements include participation in The Hague Academy of International Law and editorial leadership of Comares and Colex legal series.
