Javier Blanco Rodriguez

Javier Blanco Rodriguez is a Researcher (Group I) at the School of Industrial Engineering, University of Vigo, Spain. He is affiliated with the Department of Mechanical Engineering, Machines and Thermal and Fluid Engines and the Research Center for Industrial Technologies, Energy and Processes (CITÉPI) on the Vigo campus.

He earned his PhD from the University of Vigo in 2025 with the thesis On the development of a comprehensive damage prediction algorithm for mixed-elastohydrodynamic lubrication conditions in high-power density engines, supervised by Dr. Jacobo Porteiro Fresco and Dr. Martí Cortada García. His research centers on mechanical engineering with specialization in tribology and energy technology, particularly investigating mixed-elastohydrodynamic lubrication in high-power engines to develop predictive damage models.

As a core member of the Energy Technology Research Group (EM1 GTE), he contributes to advancing industrial energy processes. His work bridges theoretical algorithm development with practical engine durability applications, focusing on thermal-fluid systems optimization under extreme operational conditions.
