Jaume Oscar Guía Julve

Jaume Oscar Guía Julve is a Full Professor in the Department of Organisation, Business Management and Product Design at the Faculty of Tourism, University of Girona (UdG), where he has been a faculty member since 2003. He is affiliated with the Institute of Tourism Research (INSETUR) and leads the Organisational Networks, Innovation and Tourism Strategies (ONIT) research group.

His research focuses on organisational structures, interorganisational dynamics, and innovation in tourism, with emphasis on relational networks, clusters, value chains, and social mobilities. He has published in leading journals such as Annals of Tourism Research, Tourism Management, Social Networks, and Tourism Geographies. His work bridges business organisation and tourism development, particularly in regional and community contexts.

He has supervised over 20 doctoral theses and has been instrumental in shaping graduate education, serving as Director of the Doctoral Programme and the CRIIT Research Centre. Since 2007, he has been the promoter and director of the Erasmus Mundus European Master in Tourism Management (EMTM), and since 2015, Scientific Director of the Tourism Research Campus at UdG.

He has been a visiting professor at numerous institutions worldwide, including Sun Yat-Sen University, University of Sao Paulo, Queen’s University of Belfast, and Chinese University of Hong Kong, demonstrating strong international academic engagement.
