Jason Y Koo is an Associate Teaching Professor of English at Quinnipiac University, specializing in poetry and creative writing instruction. He has received multiple teaching grants and awards, authored three poetry collections, and founded the nonprofit Brooklyn Poets.
- Education: BA (Yale), MFA (University of Houston), PhD (University of Missouri–Columbia)
His research focuses on contemporary poetry pedagogy, Asian American literary expression, and mentorship networks. As founder of Brooklyn Poets, he created the Bridge mentorship program to connect poets globally.
Recent activities include releasing his fourth poetry collection No Rest and serving as Connecticut Poetry Circuit Poet.
