Jason Springs is a Professor of Religion, Ethics, and Peace Studies at the University of Notre Dame, jointly appointed in the Kroc Institute for International Peace Studies (Keough School of Global Affairs) and the Department of Sociology (College of Arts and Letters). He holds a Ph.D. in Religion, Ethics, and Politics from Harvard University.
His research integrates restorative justice, structural/cultural violence, religious pluralism, and conflict transformation, with fieldwork on Chicago's restorative justice initiatives addressing mass incarceration. Springs' books include Restorative Justice and Lived Religion (2024) and Healthy Conflict in Contemporary American Society (2018). He received fellowships from the Louisville Institute and Princeton University.
Springs serves as co-editor for the Journal of Religious Ethics and has directed doctoral studies at the Kroc Institute.
