Jason Smith

Professor Jason Smith is a Professor and Head of Discipline in Chemistry at the University of Tasmania's School of Natural Sciences. His research focuses on organic chemistry, drug discovery, and sustainable materials from renewable resources. He holds a BSc (Hons) and PhD from Flinders University, with postdoctoral training at Texas A&M and Australian National University. Notable awards include the RACI Athel Beckwith Lectureship (2005) and Tasmanian STEM Innovation Award (2017).
