Dr. Jason Simmons is an Associate Professor and Program Coordinator in Sport Administration at the University of Cincinnati, where he has taught since 2014. His research focuses on sport consumer behavior, particularly the intersection of sport and family dynamics.
- BA in History from the University of Nevada Reno (2003)
- MS in Sport Administration from the University of Louisville (2007)
- PhD in Educational Leadership and Organizational Development with a concentration in Sport Administration from the University of Louisville (2011)
His recent work explores topics such as fan acceptance of team rebranding, the impact of social media sentiment on ticket purchases, and psychosocial effects of the pandemic on sports consumption. He has published extensively in journals like Sport Marketing Quarterly and the Journal of Sport Behavior.
Scientific recognition includes being named a Research Fellow by the Sport Marketing Association. His research also extends to employee training impacts, crisis communication in sports, and constraints affecting student attendance at college games.
