Jason McMartin is an Associate Professor of Theology at Biola University, affiliated with the Talbot School of Theology and the Rosemead School of Psychology. He holds a Ph.D. from Claremont Graduate University and serves on Biola’s University Personnel Committee. His research focuses on systematic theology, religious epistemology, and theological integration, with recent work addressing the epistemic effects of sin, eudaimonistic ethics, and theological anthropology.
McMartin teaches systematic theology and theological integration across both Talbot and Rosemead schools. He actively contributes to interdisciplinary dialogue through publications merging theology with psychology and philosophy, exploring topics like suffering, human flourishing, and the Holy Spirit’s role in psychological growth. He also engages in pastoral ministry, overseeing equipping ministries at a local church.
His academic presentations include discussions on emotional reason, values-based conflicts in counseling, and soteriologies of suffering. McMartin’s work emphasizes practical theological integration, bridging biblical studies, philosophical theology, and contemporary psychological trends to address modern ethical and spiritual challenges.
