Dr. Jason Haney is a Professor of Composition at the School of Music, James Madison University. He holds a B.A. (summa cum laude) from Austin College and M.M. and D.M. degrees in Composition from Indiana University. His works have been performed globally at venues like Carnegie Hall, Kennedy Center, and international festivals. Haney's research focuses on contemporary orchestral and chamber music, with notable compositions including Symphony No. 1 and the album Resonant Edges. He has received prestigious awards from ASCAP, the National Association of Composers USA, and others. Residencies at MacDowell Colony and Ragdale Foundation further highlight his contributions to the field.
