Jason Griffin, PhD, is a Professor and Extension Specialist at Kansas State University, directing the John C. Pair Horticultural Center in Wichita. His roles include overseeing applied research on horticultural crops and leading a team of staff and seasonal students. Griffin holds a B.S. from Cornell University (1996) and M.S./Ph.D. from North Carolina State University (1999/2002).
Research Interests: Focused on woody ornamentals and industrial hemp, his work addresses environmental stress tolerance, landscape plant survival, nursery production substrates, plant propagation techniques, and cultivar evaluations for regional suitability. He emphasizes practical applications for Kansas agriculture and horticulture.
Labs/Teams: Directs operations at the John C. Pair Horticultural Center, an applied research facility testing tree/shrub/fruit/turfgrass crops.
