Jason E. Farley is a Professor and the inaugural Leadership and Innovation Endowed Chair at the Johns Hopkins University School of Nursing. He serves as Associate Dean for Community Programs & Initiatives and directs the Center for Infectious Disease and Nursing Innovation, while also co-directing the Clinical Core of the Johns Hopkins Center for AIDS Research.

His research focuses on optimizing diagnostic experiences for infectious diseases through equitable care interventions, particularly for HIV and tuberculosis (TB) co-infections. He leads a cluster randomized trial (R01AI104488) in South Africa and co-investigates an adaptive SMART trial (R01 NR016650) for female sex workers with HIV. Recent work includes a Discovery Award to test digital adherence tools for TB/HIV patients and the C-Forward trial comparing hospital-, mobile-, and home-based COVID-19 testing modalities.
In Baltimore City, he deploys community health worker models to address HIV viral suppression disparities. His team secured multiple CoVPN and NIH grants for pandemic response, emphasizing technology-driven care escalation.
