Jason DeBlois is an Associate Professor in the Department of Mathematics at the University of Pittsburgh, affiliated with The Dietrich School of Arts and Sciences. His research focuses on the intersection of topology and geometry in low-dimensional manifolds, particularly hyperbolic 3-manifolds and surfaces. He has contributed to understanding hyperbolic structures, injectivity radii, and geometric flows. DeBlois holds a PhD from the University of Texas at Austin and has organized conferences such as the 2014 Geometry, Topology and Physics workshop and the 2013 Chern-Simons Theory conference. He teaches advanced courses in topology, differential geometry, and linear algebra.
His educational background includes a PhD in mathematics from the University of Texas at Austin (thesis advisor: Alan Reid).
