Jason Bourke

Jason Bourke is an Assistant Professor of Political Science at Delaware State University, specializing in American government, political economy, and public policy analysis. He holds a Ph.D. in Urban Affairs and Public Policy from the University of Delaware (2018), an M.A. from the same program (2014), and dual B.A.s in Sociology and Psychology from Penn State University (2010).

His research focuses on policy history, community development, and political power dynamics, with notable work on tobacco control policies in Wilmington, Delaware, and graduate program administration at HBCUs. He previously directed Delaware State University’s Master of Public Administration (MPA) Program.
