Justin L. Alexander, Ed.D., is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Education at Delaware State University. His research focuses on higher education policy, international education systems, organizational administration in educational institutions, and bridging high school to post-secondary matriculation. He emphasizes equity of opportunity and the cultural dimensions of education.

Professional Roles & Experience: Dr. Alexander has served as a paraprofessional at Dover High School, a teacher at the Delaware Adolescent School Program Inc. (DAPI), and a community activist with the Metropolitan Wilmington Urban League’s Wilmington Center for Education and Policy (WCEEP). He collaborates with K-12 staff and community leaders to address educational inequities in Wilmington. He is a member of the American College Personnel Association (ACPA) and a peer reviewer for the Journal of Higher Education Politics and Economics (JHEPE).
Research Philosophy: Alexander advocates for lifelong learning and critical inquiry, stating, “We are life-long learners because learning is lifelong. Education never stops; our critical inquiry diminishes because we stop asking and researching for answers.”
