Jasna Pintar is a Professor at the University of Zagreb's Faculty of Agriculture, Department of Animal Nutrition. Her career spans over three decades at the institution, progressing from Assistant Professor (1988–2005) to Associate Professor (2005–2015) and Full Professor (2015–present). She holds a PhD in Agricultural Sciences (2000) and two master's degrees (1987, 1991), focusing on animal nutrition and feed optimization.
Her research integrates animal nutrition, husbandry, and ecology, with emphasis on poultry, pigs, goats, feed additives (e.g., phytase), antioxidants, and mycotoxin impacts. She coordinates projects on feed safety and nutritional biochemistry, including studies on phenolic acids in corn and fatty-acid profiles in poultry.
Prof. Pintar is professionally active as President of the Technical Board at the Croatian Standards Institute, editorial board member for 'Krmiva' journal, and member of the World's Poultry Science Association. She teaches courses including General Animal Nutrition, Poultry and Rabbit Nutrition, and Pig Nutrition.
