Jasmine Vergauwe

Jasmine Vergauwe is a full-time Assistant Professor in the Work and Organizational Psychology department at the Vrije Universiteit Brussel (VUB), Faculty of Psychology and Educational Sciences. She leads significant research projects including 'Crimes of Character? A Holistic Approach to Dark Triad Traits and Toxic Leadership in the Workplace' (2024-2028) and 'Towards a better methodological fit in Dark Triad research' (2024-2028).

Her research focuses on personality psychology, particularly Dark Triad traits (narcissism, Machiavellianism, psychopathy) and their impact on leadership effectiveness. She examines how personality affects workplace dynamics through innovative methodologies including Ecological Momentary Assessment. Her work reveals complex nonlinear relationships between personality traits and leadership outcomes, challenging simplistic 'more is better' assumptions.
