Dr Jasjit Singh is Professor of Religion and Global Engagement at the University of Leeds, affiliated with the School of Philosophy, Religion and the History of Science. His research explores religious and cultural transmission among British Sikhs and the impact of digital media on Sikh traditions.

- Religious transmission in diaspora communities
- Digital religion and its influence on authority and identity
- Religion-policy intersections and asylum case consultations
- Religious radicalization and artistic responses to historical trauma
He has secured competitive grants including CREST and AHRC/ESRC funding, and contributed to policy changes regarding Afghan Sikh asylum cases. Singh co-chairs the AAR Sikh Studies Unit and previously held leadership roles in European sociology of religion conferences.
