Jasdeep Johl is Visiting Policy Fellow at the Oxford Internet Institute, University of Oxford, researching digital identity ethics and emerging technologies. Her work examines biometric data governance, AI-generated identities, and censorship resistance mechanisms.
Drawing on political theory and security studies, her publications analyze tensions between digital privacy, state surveillance, and commercial data exploitation. Recent work proposes federalist models for platform governance and critiques biometric consent frameworks.
