Dr. Jarrod A. Lewis-Peacock is an Associate Professor in the Department of Psychology at the University of Texas at Austin within the College of Liberal Arts. His research focuses on the intersection of cognitive control and memory for goal-directed behavior, utilizing neuroimaging and computational techniques such as multivariate pattern analysis of fMRI data and real-time functional neuroimaging.
- Ph.D. in Psychology, University of Wisconsin-Madison
- Postdoctoral Fellow, Princeton Neuroscience Institute
His research interests span working memory, cognitive control, episodic memory, forgetting mechanisms, functional neuroimaging, and real-time neurofeedback. Recent work explores how memory suppression impacts PTSD treatment, neural plasticity during working memory tasks, and the role of contextual reinstatement in emotional memory retrieval.
Recent publications highlight trends in understanding working memory dynamics, neural plasticity, and emotional learning. Key subfields include cognitive neuroscience, clinical applications in trauma disorders, and computational modeling of memory systems.
