Jarrah Kaisa Kollei

Jarrah Kaisa Kollei is a Doctoral Researcher at the Department of Law, Faculty of Social Sciences and Business Administration, University of Eastern Finland, affiliated with the Welfare Law Center and the Beyond Borders, Norms and Boxes (BBNB) research group.

Her research centers on the rights and well-being of marginalized and vulnerable populations, especially sexual and gender minorities during relationship breakdown. This work intersects Human Rights Law, Gender Studies, Family Law, Social Welfare Law, and Minority Rights, aiming to address systemic barriers in legal frameworks through interdisciplinary analysis of welfare systems and minority protections.

As a member of the Welfare Law Center (since 2018) and the BBNB group (starting 2025), she engages in projects exploring phenomena that transcend borders, norms, and assumptions, with emphasis on collaborative methodologies to advance legal equity for vulnerable communities.
