Jared Van Duinen is a Lecturer in History at the School of Social Work and Arts, Charles Sturt University. He teaches courses such as HST101 The Short Twentieth Century, HST214 The Medieval World, and HST311 The Theory and Method of History.
- Education: BA (Hons) from Newcastle, PhD from UNSW
His research focuses on imperial and colonial history, sports history, and history-literature intersections, with current work on historical fiction exploring the relationship between history and myth. Publications include a 2018 Palgrave monograph analyzing Anglo-Australian cricket's role in shaping Australian national identity during the colonial era.
