Jared Howell is an Assistant Professor in the H. Ben Taub Department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at Baylor College of Medicine. He serves as Director of the Center for Prosthetic and Orthotic Care and Clinical Innovation. His roles also include Secondary Faculty in Baylor Global Health and the Center for Medical Ethics and Health Policy. He holds certifications as a Certified Prosthetist Orthotist (CPO) and Licensed Prosthetist Orthotist (LPO) in Texas.
Education: BS in Manufacturing Engineering from Brigham Young University (2005), MS in Product Design and Development from Northwestern University (2012), and Certificates in Orthotics/Prosthetics from Northwestern. Professional interests focus on product development, prosthetics innovation, and clinical care.
Research interests include advancing orthotic and prosthetic technologies, particularly dynamic strapping systems for orthoses. He has led the development of patented medical devices to improve patient mobility and comfort.
