Dr Jarad Zimbler is a Senior Lecturer in English and Global Cultures, and Director of Research at the Global Cultures Institute, King’s College London. His research focuses on 20th-century literary cultures, decolonization, and the global dimensions of literature. He holds a BA from Oxford University, MPhil and PhD from Cambridge University, and has held fellowships at Wolfson College (Oxford) and visiting positions at UC Berkeley and the University of Illinois at Chicago. His work bridges postcolonial studies, comparative literature, and book history.

Research Interests
Zimbler explores literary form, mid-20th-century literature, and decolonization in African and diasporic contexts. Current projects include LITAID (funded by UKRI/ERC) on Ghana’s literary decolonization and Denise Levertov’s Mexican Sojourn, examining literary migration and belonging. He also co-directs Archives in Action, a West African-focused scholarly initiative.
