Janusz Bień

Dr. hab. Janusz Bień is a Professor at the John Paul II Catholic University of Lublin (KUL), where he serves as Head of the Department of Romance Linguistics and has previously held roles such as Director of the Institute of Romance Philology. He specializes in Romance linguistics, with affiliations spanning the Faculty of Humanities and interdisciplinary collaborations across European universities via Erasmus+ exchanges.

His research explores: (1) Contrastive Linguistics, particularly Spanish-Polish-French syntax and discourse; (2) Nominalization and Analyticity in press, scientific, and digital media; and (3) Linguistic Typology, examining economy, redundancy, and ambiguity across languages.
