Janus Mortensen

Janus Mortensen is a Professor of Multilingualism and Language Policy at the Centre for Internationalisation and Parallel Language Use (CIP), University of Copenhagen. His research focuses on English as a lingua franca, language policy in transient social configurations, sociolinguistic change, and digital humanities. He leads major projects including the Carlsberg Foundation-funded AI-UNI project exploring generative AI's impact on academic literacy, and the ENIDA project analyzing English's sociolinguistic role in Denmark.
