Janne Mantykoski is a Senior Lecturer in Politics and International Relations at the School of Human and Social Sciences, University of West London. He serves as Course Leader for the BA (Hons) Politics and International Relations program and teaches modules such as Introduction to Politics, Political Systems, and Working in Political and International Contexts.

Research Interests:
His research explores tensions between liberty and equality, focusing on the politics of wealth creation, inequality, debt, automation, artificial intelligence, job security, and universal basic income. His doctoral dissertation, Semantic Change: Holism, Truth and Relativism, reflects his interdisciplinary approach.
Teaching and Career:
Janne was a Teaching Fellow at UCL (2004–2006) and King’s College London (2006–2008). He also taught as a visiting lecturer at the University of Hertfordshire and the University of Notre Dame London Centre. After a career break (2008–2014), he returned to UWL, where he now leads the Pyramid Project. His academic roles include serving as Head of Philosophy at Lansdowne Sixth Form College (2006–2008).
