معرفی
Dr. Janna Nawroth is a Research Professor and Principal Investigator at the Helmholtz Pioneer Campus, Helmholtz Munich (since 2021), and a Junior Fellow at Technical University Munich (TUM). She holds a PhD in Biology from the California Institute of Technology (Caltech) and has postdoctoral training at Harvard University's Wyss Institute and the University of Southern California (USC). Her research focuses on the mechanobiology of airway epithelia, mucociliary clearance, and tissue engineering using Organ-on-a-Chip models. Key projects include studying chronic airway diseases and the role of mechanical forces in disease progression.
Dr. Nawroth leads an interdisciplinary team combining biologists and engineers to investigate fluid transport in tissues, advanced imaging techniques, and in silico modeling. Her work has been recognized through prestigious awards, including the ERC Starting Grant (2020) and Whitman Center Fellowship (2023). She has held roles such as Principal Investigator at Emulate Inc. and has collaborated extensively across academia and industry.
