Janna Herrmann is an External Doctoral Researcher at the Ubiquitous Media Technology Lab (UMTL) affiliated with the German Research Center for Artificial Intelligence (DFKI). Her research focuses on Human-Computer Interaction, Gamification, and User Experience Design, particularly in the context of personalizing gamified systems and integrating Natural Language Processing with Cognitive Science.
Research Interests
- Applying gamification to neuropsychological tasks (e.g., Semantic Verbal Fluency, Rey Auditory Verbal Learning Task)
- Enhancing user experience in digital cognitive assessments
- Designing functional prototypes for gamified systems
- Exploring intersections between interaction design and cognitive science
Teaching & Thesis Opportunities
