Janine Marchessault is a Professor of Cinema and Media Arts at York University, holding the York Research Chair in Media Art and Social Engagement. She serves as Graduate Program Director and was the inaugural Director of Sensorium: Centre for Digital Arts Research (2014-2016). Her work bridges academia and public art through initiatives like the Future Cinema Lab and the Outer Worlds expanded cinema festival.
