Janina Peschmann is a Professor of Psychology, especially Entrepreneurship, at the Institute for Management & Organization (IMO) at Leuphana University Lüneburg. She holds a Research Associate position and focuses on entrepreneurship training, poverty reduction, and women's empowerment in Africa.

Her research examines success factors in entrepreneurship training design, the socioeconomic impacts of such programs, and inclusive working environments. She has developed a STEP (Student Training for Entrepreneurial Promotion) training version for illiterate participants in Niger as part of a World Bank project.
Current projects include coordinating a STEP sustainability initiative funded by DAAD in Kenya, Nigeria, and South Africa. She contributes to teaching in entrepreneurship, innovation, and organizational psychology.
Janina collaborates with teams on topics like gender and entrepreneurship, social identity, and sustainability entrepreneurship. Her work intersects with initiatives such as MEHRCE (circular economy) and L-SEC (sustainable entrepreneurship certification).
