Janice James

Janice James serves as Clinical Assistant Professor, Assistant Dean, and Director of the Meinders Simulation Center at the Kramer School of Nursing, Oklahoma City University, where she teaches in the traditional undergraduate nursing program and leads simulation-based education initiatives.

Her educational background includes:

• Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) from Oklahoma City University (2017)
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from Oklahoma City University (2015)
• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) from Oklahoma State University, OKC (2005)

Professor James' research focuses on critical nursing education challenges, particularly the inclusion of students with disabilities in nursing programs and innovative methods to enhance clinical judgment skills. Her teaching methodology integrates service learning through locally and internationally led cultural immersion trips, emphasizing public health and family health applications in real-world settings.

As Director of the Meinders Simulation Center, she oversees advanced clinical training environments. Her professional service includes serving as Faculty Advisor for the KSN TBSN Student Mentor Program and as a National League for Nursing Ambassador.

Professor James maintains active leadership within Sigma Theta Tau International Nursing Honor Society (Beta Delta at-Large Chapter), having held Board of Directors positions including Secretary and Academic Vice President.
