Jani Lukkarinen is a Professor at the University of Helsinki, affiliated with the Department of Mathematics and Statistics under the Faculty of Science. He serves as a supervisor for the Doctoral Programme in Mathematics and Statistics (DOMAST) and holds the title of Docent in the same department.
Research Interests: Mathematical Physics, focusing on
- Coagulation and condensation phenomena
- Kinetic theory and stochastic processes
- Nonlinear Schrödinger equations
- Statistical mechanics of lattice systems
Scientific Awards:
- Väisälä Prize (2018)
Projects: Leading initiatives like Finnish Centre of Excellence in Randomness and Structures (FiRST) and the Academy Project: Mathematical Analysis of Coagulation and Condensation Phenomena (2021-2025).
