Janet Smith

Ms. Janet Smith is a Lecturer in the Adelaide Nursing School at the University of Adelaide, affiliated with the Faculty of Health and Medical Sciences. She is currently undertaking a PhD at the Basil Hetzel Institute, focusing on evaluating sex differences in coronary heart disease outcomes post-cardiology interventions to ensure equitable care for women and men. Her roles include teaching, research supervision, and clinical practice.

Research Interests: Sex-based disparities in cardiovascular health, clinical outcomes of cardiology interventions, and person-centered care approaches. Her work aims to improve healthcare equity and patient recovery post-cardio-thoracic procedures.
