Janet Branchaw

Janet L. Branchaw is an Associate Professor of Kinesiology in the School of Education and Faculty Director of the Wisconsin Institute for Science Education and Community Engagement (WISCIENCE) at the University of Wisconsin–Madison. Her work focuses on innovative science education approaches at undergraduate and graduate levels, emphasizing research training, mentoring, and broadening participation in STEM. She teaches physiology and science teaching methods, and her research addresses student learning assessment and equity in science education.

Her work emphasizes culturally responsive mentoring and program evaluation to enhance research trainee success.
