Dr. Janessa Michele Beach is Assistant Professor of Instruction in the Mathematics Department at The University of Texas at Arlington. Her work focuses on mathematics teacher preparation and curriculum development.
Education includes a Ph.D. in Mathematics from UTA (2020), M.S. from Texas A&M University-Commerce, and B.S. from Abilene Christian University. She teaches courses across mathematics and mathematics education.
Research examines:
- Development of mathematical knowledge in teachers
- Innovative approaches to secondary mathematics instruction
- Task design for teacher education
- Technology integration in mathematics
- Visual representations in mathematics learning
