Jane Wilson

Jane Wilson serves as Associate Professor of Nursing and Associate Dean of the Undergraduate Program at the School of Nursing, Palm Beach Atlantic University (PBA). She joined the nursing faculty at PBA in 2015 after previously serving as nursing faculty at Bethesda College of Health Sciences and as maternal child adjunct at both PBA and Lehigh Carbon Community College.

• BSN in Nursing, Kutztown University of Pennsylvania

With 28 years of nursing experience, Dr. Wilson's research focuses on the maternal-child environment, specifically examining breastfeeding practices and the challenges new mothers confront. Her clinical expertise spans labor & delivery, mother-baby units, newborn nurseries, and perinatal high-risk units. Dr. Wilson has demonstrated leadership in coordinating and providing care for homebound patients as a case manager for Lehigh Valley Homecare.

Dr. Wilson has received recognition for her contributions to nursing, including:

• Friends of Nursing Award-Alma Award for Excellence in Home Care Nursing

Professionally active, Dr. Wilson is a member of Sigma Theta Tau, the Association of Women's Health, Obstetric and Neonatal Nursing (AWONN), and the Nurse's Christian Fellowship organization (NCF). Her extensive clinical background at the magnet-earning Lehigh Valley Hospital in Pennsylvania has informed her academic work and leadership in nursing education.
