Jane Terpstra Tong is a Professor of Management at Monash University Malaysia, affiliated with the School of Business. Jane is a leading scholar in cross-cultural management and organizational behavior, with a strong focus on gender equity and multilevel modeling. Jane has held significant leadership roles at Monash, including Deputy Head of School (Education) (2019–2023) and Head of Department (2016–2018). She has secured research grants, such as the project Impact of uncertainty, connections and entrepreneurial orientation on firm performance (2014–2015), and actively mentors students through doctoral seminars and writing bootcamps. She also conducts executive education and corporate training on leadership and inclusion for multinational enterprises in ASEAN.
Jane leads and participates in research clusters such as the Thriving Communities Research Cluster and organizes academic events like Doctoral Seminars/Workshops. She is currently Editor-in-Chief of Personnel Review (from Nov 2024) and engages in peer review, thesis examination, and international academic collaboration.
