Jane Steinberg

Jane Steinberg is an Associate Professor in the Department of Population Sciences and Public Health at the Keck School of Medicine, University of Southern California. She serves as Director of Public Health Practice for the department and is a co-investigator on an HRSA workforce development grant focused on creating career pipelines for MPH students into public health roles through scholarships, mentorship, and training.

Jane Steinberg's research centers on public health, behavioral science, and health policy. Her work investigates substance use (tobacco, cannabis, alcohol), health equity, and policy responses to mitigate risks among youth. She also explores HPV vaccination campaigns, STD prevention, and the impact of social support on substance use recovery, with a focus on marginalized populations including incarcerated adolescents and chronically ill individuals.

Her recent publications examine Cannabis Retail Regulation, Vaccine Distribution in vulnerable populations, and Health Equity in youth substance use. Articles highlight Health Policy, Community Engagement, and Behavioral Science as central themes.
