Jane Henderson is a Senior Lecturer in the Laws of Eastern Europe at King’s College London, affiliated with the Faculty of Social Science & Public Policy and the School of Politics & Economics. She concurrently serves as an Adjunct Professor at the University of Notre Dame London Law School, where she leads post-graduate seminars on the Russian Legal System. Her research focuses on Soviet and post-Soviet legal systems, particularly constitutional innovations, administrative law, and judicial frameworks in Russia. A recipient of the Joseph Hume Scholarship for Jurisprudence (1973), she has published extensively on topics including the Russian Constitutional Court, federal structure, and legal reforms. She teaches courses such as 'Soviet and Post-Soviet Legal Systems' and 'Elements of the Law of Contract.'
Her administrative experience includes roles as undergraduate welfare co-ordinator and admissions tutor at King’s. Current research explores Russian state structure and constitutionalism. She is rapporteur on Russia for European Public Law, contributing to academic discourse on legal developments. Office hours are held on Mondays and Wednesdays at Somerset House East Wing, Strand Campus.
