Professor Hall's research program spans multiple dimensions of health economics, with a current focus on healthcare financing and funding mechanisms to improve system performance. Her work examines health technology assessment, measurement of quality of life, end-of-life care economics, health workforce issues, and primary care economics. Recent publications reveal a strong emphasis on out-of-pocket costs, Medicare sustainability, geographic disparities in healthcare access, and value-based payment reform. Her methodological approaches include sophisticated econometric analyses, discrete choice experiments, and health services research designs that bridge theoretical economics with practical policy applications.
Her scholarly contributions demonstrate consistent thematic development across healthcare financing models, with particular attention to equity implications and system performance metrics. The articles show progression from foundational work on health technology assessment to current research addressing complex challenges in healthcare financing amid rising costs and demographic pressures.
