Akanksha Akanksha

Akanksha Akanksha is a Research Fellow at the Centre for Health Economics Research and Evaluation (CHERE) within the Faculty of Health at the University of Technology Sydney (UTS). She concurrently serves as a PhD Candidate at the same institution. Her work focuses on advancing health economics methodologies, particularly in quality of life measurement frameworks and their integration into healthcare decision-making.

Research Interests: She explores multi-domain outcome measurement systems, including extending the QALY framework to incorporate broader quality of life dimensions beyond traditional health metrics. Her work emphasizes psychometric validation, instrument combination methodologies, and the implications of these advancements for health technology assessment (HTA) and resource allocation.

Key Contributions: Her research has addressed challenges in combining existing instruments like EQ-5D-5L, EQ-HWB, and ASCOT to create holistic outcome measures. Collaborations with the EuroQol Group and interdisciplinary teams highlight her focus on bridging health and social care outcomes.
