Jane Grothaus

Jane Grothaus is an Associate Professor in the Department of Communication Disorders at the University of Nebraska at Kearney. Her work focuses on the intersection of executive functions, healthcare professions, and communication disorders.

• Master's in Speech-Language Pathology (Ohio State University, 1999)
• Bachelor's degrees in Speech-Language Pathology (Butler University, 1997) and Public/Corporate Communications (Butler University, 1994)

Research interests include:

• Executive functions in healthcare professions
• Graduate student placement and clinical experiences
• Stuttering and neurogenic communication disorders
• Dysphagia assessment and treatment
• Neurological disease impact on speech-language pathology

Teaching areas span anatomy/physiology, diagnostic methods, voice disorders, motor speech disorders, and articulation/phonology disorders at both undergraduate and graduate levels.
