Jane E. Cross is a Professor of Law and Director of the Caribbean Law Programs at Nova Southeastern University (NSU) College of Law. She has held roles as Associate Dean for Culture, Professionalism, and Community Engagement and serves as faculty advisor to the Black Law Students Association (BLSA), the Caribbean Law Students Association, and the Nova Human Rights Organization.

Professor Cross specializes in Caribbean Law and Human Rights, with a focus on legal systems, freedom of movement in CARICOM, and legal reforms in the Caribbean. Her work also extends to Negotiable Instruments and legal education methodologies.
Recent publications highlight trends in Caribbean legal norms, economic development through gambling law, and human rights frameworks. Her academic contributions include analyses of judicial discretion in death penalty cases and kinship group recognition in family law.

Professor Cross supervises BLSA Competition teams, coaches the Nelson Mandela International Negotiation Competition team, and coordinates the Caribbean Law Clinic for NSU College of Law. She is admitted to the Bar in New York, Illinois, and Florida.
